It's been a while since I played, but wasn't the Quetzecoatl on Final Fantasy X a "Thunderbird"? Probably inspired by the Mayan Quetzecoatl... But the Mayan version wasn't thunderish, but more like a feathered serpent god thingy... ??? I'm sure someone out there is more of an expert on the subject, so I could be wrong.
