Looks like she has way too much free time on her hands.

'Time for Mom to make some money....

I can't believe you're going to say she has too much time, or it's time for her to do something more productive.

This is so inspiring. It's something that lights up those kids' lives every day at lunch, and something that brings their mom joy.

I'm going to start doing it for my kids tomorrow. Thank you!

This is so much better than a plain white lunch bag or totes lunch bags - it's personalized and cool!

she needs to spend more time making the dang lunch instead of drawing pretty pictures.

aw! so cute!

this is the type of things that let your kids know that you love them more than anything,
and the type of thing they'll remember when their older,

the little things get remembered

Fantastic. If/when I have kids, they're going to get something special and better than the other kids too... I love He-Man...

My mom used to put stickers and encouraging notes on my lunchbags... it literally is one of those small gestures that made me who I am. Don't troll a Mom like this!

Daniel said...

Lol, that's what happens when a creative mind is bored

JLEV Is certainly not a mom. When her kids grow up there not going to remember or care about the lunch they had, But they will remember the special things there mom did for them. Keep it up Mom!!!!

My mother didn't love me, so this strikes me as horribly overbearing.

This is wonderful. I have a 5 year old son and I try to draw on his brown lunch bag but my artistic skills are fairly average.

Anyone who feels the need to put this mother down should maybe reflect on how they are spending their time.

My mom used to cut out strips from newspaper comics and put them in my lunch. I don't remember how clean our house was or what she packed me for lunch, but I remember those comics.

I think this is a great idea and I am going to start doing it.

too bad the kids probably throw them away after lunch :( those would be great to re-use!

...or better yet, she could just design neat reusable lunch bags! probably make a killing. and then she could like, make sandwiches in the shape of he-man...that would be cool...

Anonymous said...

why not just buy a plastic lunch box? they can be used over and over again, and are more cost effective than hundreds of brown paper bags

Doesnt she have more important things to do? like scrub the toilet or something?

JAWSOME

way to go MOM!

ilove it.

i find it hard to believe that some people make disparaging remarks about this remarkable lady....some people, huh? i'd love to meet this amazing soul.

Anonymous said...

This is very cool! Thanks for sharing.

Anonymous said...

Apparently those of you taking the time out to criticize this woman ALSO have too much time on your hands... Don't you have a toilet to go scrub?

She should go out and get a job instead... Jeez.

awe my dad used to do this stuff for me. he'd personalize my lunch bag too.her kids will always remember that stuff.

I don't usually comment on websites such as this (I'm just your average stumbler) but I feel compelled to do so this time. The mother depicted here is doing something for her children that not only feeds them physically, but emotionally as well. As said before, the children will remember this later in life, and reflect on it, and think that "hey, wow, my Mom was awesome back then. She didn't let capitalism or financial greed take away from her love for me". All children should be shown love and affection; they aren't going to appreciate a full bank account as much as they will a full heart. So here's to you, Super Mom, for caring so much about your children.

She probably is a very busy mom with a job, yet spends a little time each day making up for some lost time with her children. And who cares if the lunch bag is thrown out, just having the picture is enough.

Anonymous said...

her poor kids probably get beat up on a daily basis. unless they're smart and dump the lunch before they get on the bus

Awesome! This is the best mom ever!

sounds like most people here are jealous rofl

Anonymous said...

OMG!!! the last unicorn!

Kadrina said...

You negative people are the folks who grew up with moms who just sent them to school with a greasy old paper bag. Stop being so jealous.

I don't understand how this is a testament to her creativity. I have seen all of these characters before, most of them in the positions they've been drawn in. While it might be sweet, I don't see how it's creative.

What a ridiculous waste of time. Maybe a post-it with a little encouraging note or something, but this is way, way too much.

Anonymous said...

When I was a kid, I had to make my own lunch. Most of the time my parents would go into my room, throw me on the floor and yell "WAKE UP SHITHEAD" then they would go back to bed. I only wish I had a mom who drew pictures for me.
Keep up the good work Mom.

Maybe she does have a job, scrub the toilets and mop her floors. Maybe she just has a talent for re-creating things quickly or takes extra time to let her kids know she loves them. Maybe she even has a partner who helps her do some things and they both work. Who cares people? This is supposed to be a fun post showing some mom does something fun for her kids. Get a life and go scrub your own d@mn toilets!

Anonymous said...

this is a wonderful use of her time if she can spend the time to draw pictures for her kids to make them feel special. to the people saying its a waste of time - is it a waste of time to make a bright young kid happy?

rock on supermom!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, how dare she waste an hour a night on a hobby besides video games which also gives pleasure to her children and lets them know she is thinking about them. Who would ever want the ability to recreate our favorite childhood characters for the next generation of kids, and extend our culture to them? I would hate for my kids to be interested in the same things as me, what a joke!

I think its just awful when parents try to relate to their kids. I mean, shouldnt she be spending time posting anonymous derisive comments on a blog? Im calling Child Protective Services as we speak. This woman isnt fit to raise children.

What's with all the negative people here? You losers, you wish your mom made something as cool as this.. it's time to get your head out of your ass!

AlexxX said...

Actually, the website clearly says the parent is a father *not* a mother. Nice that everyone assumed that if it has to deal with packing a lunch, it was the mom!

Anonymous said...

Awsome!

Carl said...

This almost made me cry. What a loving mom!! We all wish we had a mom like that!

Anonymous said...

So much cooler and less embarrassing than "Mommy loves you!" notes on the inside.
Love the Last Unicorn one.

Anonymous said...

Wow. I can't imagine how great I would feel if someone did that for me everyday.

FYI, It's the kids DAD that is doing it. He draws them during his lunch break at his job the day before.

Also, he recently lost his job, so if you guys know anyone who is hiring artists... google lunch bag art to find his site.

Pam Burrus said...

Awwww - My mom used to do this!! She did it 4th/5th grade and I loved it! I always threw them out after lunch until one day a teacher asked why I didn't save them... and I just never thought of it... so I started saving them. I think we eventually threw them out - but yes, she is the coolest mom!!

Anonymous said...

Very cool pictures, but horribly embarrassing for anybody older than third grade to have Hello Kitty on their lunch bag.

Anonymous said...

I'm fairly sure it's a dad. I'm not sure, but I seem to remember, on the blog, the parent referencing him/herself as a he.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, its a dad

Anonymous said...

Quite the kewl daddy...

Bags said...

Definitely a coll Dad. Wish I had his talent. His children's children will remember this.............

Anonymous said...

FYI... it says it's a DAD who does this.

Toadette said...

hey dumbasses read at the begining its a DAD not a MOM who needs to " scrub the toilet, get a job, and clean the house and stop wasting time"

Kimber said...

I feel bad for previous posters who remark that this is a waste, not time or cost effective. What bland childhoods you must have had.
